Hampton Medical are proud to have been shortlisted in not one, but two categories, at the Conference Awards 2018 for our work with the Intensive Care Society.
- Best conference by a events agency
- UK conference of the year (under 1,500 delegates)
We’ve worked in partnership with the Intensive Care Society since 2016 to modernise, innovate and drive forward the Society’s State of the Art (SOA) conference.
On the back of a major re-organisation in 2016, the Intensive Care Society took a strategic decision to outsource the full-management of their annual State of the Art (SOA) conference on a 3 year contract. The overarching strategy was to increase the agility of the society and take a more commercial approach to its activities. It was also imperative that the conference broke-even, something not previously achieved.
Our brief was simple. We needed to inject new impetus, modernise, innovate and drive forward this flagship meeting, generate revenue, re-engage with industry and increase delegate awareness and attendance. Two years into our contract, the 2017 SOA Conference represented the most successful in the Society’s history with record delegate numbers, partner engagement and revenues to be re-invested into the Society’s educational and charitable work.
During our relatively short working relationship, we have not only already achieved the short term goals of the Society, but in recognition of our contribution, the initial 3 year contract has already been extended to 2021, reflecting the strong partnership and trust that has formed.
Rob Roffey, Managing Director of Hampton Medical, said:
“Working with the Intensive Care Society, an organisation with a clear vision of how they need to adapt to the changing needs of their community, enabled our team to take a more strategic and creative approach to take the Society’s conference forward. This award nomination is testament to us pushing some traditional sector boundaries, and truly demonstrates the value of the agency, client partnership. We wish the other finalists in these categories the best of luck and share their pride in the quality and standard of projects on show.”
